Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE), a premier engineering college in Tamilnadu was established in the year 1985. The college is one of the pioneers in engineering education, excelling under the governance of Dr. A. C. Muthiah, an industrialist, cricket administrator, philanthropist, and educationist who is the Chairman of the Governing Council of the college.

SVCE Science Club

The SVCE Science Club was started by the institution with a purpose to cultivate interest among the student community to acquire scientific knowledge. Our club is an integration of three subjects, namely Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The door of the club is open to all the students who want to explore their interests in science. Students are provided with opportunities to engage with fellow students, professors, and eminent personalities of the field in meaningful and prudential ways.

SVCE Student Council

The Student Council is the apex student body for 4000+ students studying in SVCE.The Student Council is in charge of the smooth conduct of college level events - Freshers Day, Ice breaker session for freshmen, Teachers Day, Sports Day, College Culturals and Student Research Day. Under the mentoring of Principal Prof. Ganesh Vaidyanathan, the Student Council has brought forward several initiatives, each empowering hundreds of students.

Why You Should join iCUBE 5.0 ?

The three words ideate, innovate, and investigate essentially represent the ethos of this event. Ideate refers to forming new ideas, innovate refers to the ideas being feasible and creative in nature, and Investigate refers to scrutinizing the ideas based on scientific facts, creativity, and novelty after their submission.

Participants will be shortlisted for the preliminary round under each category based on the abstract submitted. Based on the presentation, participants will be shortlisted for the final round where they need to present their complete work in front of the panel of Judges.

Theme: Engineering Sustainability for a Circular World

​This theme focuses on the Circular Economy: the idea that products should be designed to be reused, repaired, or recycled rather than ending up in a landfill. It requires a mix of physical hardware, smart monitoring, and logistics/policy planning, products should be of software or / and hardware

Registration portal opens for participants to enroll in the event. Interested teams can begin submitting their details and abstracts from this date. Early registration is encouraged to ensure smooth participation and timely updates regarding the event.
Phase 1
Registration Closes
17 Jan 2026
Registration phase for the participants. Once the registrations end, the shortlisting phase begins. From this point on, no more registrations from participants will be entertained.

Phase 1 Results

Release of short-listed teams. The short-listed teams will be qualified for the final phase based on the abstract. Fees will be collected from those advancing to Phase 2.

Grand Finale
2–3 Feb 2026
The Grand Finale of both InnoWel and Idea-O-Lite. Participants build, analyze, implement, debug, and present their applications.

Participants will be shortlisted for the preliminary round under each category based on the ABSTRACT submitted.

Students can form a team of 5 to 6, with participants pursuing any engineering stream, studying in any year.

A participant cannot be a part of more than 1 team and each team can work only on 1 problem statement.

Yes. Participation certificates will be provided to all the participants who are shortlisted for the final phase.

The total prize pool is ₹100,000, with separate awards allocated for the InnoWell and Idea-O-Lite.
